StudMiHome sees the collaboration of three Politecnico Departments: DAStU (Department of Architecture and Urban Studies), Design (DESIS Lab) and DABC (Architecture, Built Environment, and Construction Engineering).

Marzia’s scientific interests are geared on the study of the transformations in the building cycle, with special focus on the management of the built environment and on the relationships that exist among the players of this process, from the design stage to the management stage.
Sociology Team – Postdoctoral fellow, Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DAStU)
He studies housing from a sociological standpoint. His perspective deals with housing as relational process, involving policies, institutional and market logics, and its subjective sense-making. Other research interests are the government of poverty and contemporary welfare state, and urban tourism and gentrification.
Alice Pomè
Real Estate Team – Postdoctoral fellow, DABC.
Alice’s main research field over these years has been the introduction of sustainable development principles in building management. A particular focus has been on the analysis of corporate buildings to define measurement and management systems for the services provided to the building. This work led to the attainment of a PhD with a thesis titled “In-use Offices and Ecological Footprint: a calculation model to measure the effects of human occupation and behavior on environmental sustainability.”
Fabio Manfredini
Sociology Team – Urban Data Analyst, MaudLab (Mapping and Urban Data Lab), Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DAStU).
The Mapping and Urban Data Lab is an experimental laboratory that focuses scientific, technical and methodological skills on the analysis, on the mapping and on the visualization for urban and territorial studies. He has been involved in several research programmes on housing issues, neighborhoods’ analysis and mapping, mobility analysis and mapping
Viviana Giavarini
Sociology Team – Urban Data Analyst, MaudLab, Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DAStU).
Architect and graduate technician in scientific and data processing. She works in the Mapping and Urban Data Lab at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies, Politecnico di Milano, where she supports research on urban and social transformations through data analysis and mapping.
Andrea Parma
Sociology Team – Researcher, Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DAStU).
Researcher in economic and labour process sociology. Expert in quantitative research methods, throughout his career he has been involved in statistical labor market analysis, public policy evaluation, and survey implementations. His other research interests include economic insecurity, residential and school segregation dynamics.
