Carmelo Benenti

Carmelo Benenti is an attorney working with SUNIA Milan and the president of Federconsumatori Milano.

SUNIA is the main national organization for private tenants and assignees of public housing.
Its purpose is to recognize every citizen’s right to housing, promote mobility, and address housing needs.

Federconsumatori Milano is a free and democratic association, founded in 1988 with the contribution of CGIL, which protects and assists consumers in their daily issues, providing support through a network of volunteers, collaborators, mediators, and consultants specializing in energy, contract, and consumer legal matters.

UDU Milano

UDU (Unione degli Universitari) is a student union that aims to improve the condition of students in Milanese universities and to create a model of University that is secular, fair, inclusive, and participatory. The UDU is a national organization that, in Milan and in over 30 Italian cities, advocates for the protection of student rights, the socialization of the material needs of the student community, and fights daily to ensure an effective right to education, which also includes the right to housing. Its goal is to ensure free access to knowledge and a system of representation capable of promoting democracy and student participation.

The representative activity it carries out takes place both inside and outside the institutions, broadly defending the rights of the student community. Its key words are representation, continuous and horizontal training, and conflict, as a complementary tool to representation.

DAR Fondazione

The DAR Foundation operates in the field of social housing.

It promotes experimental projects 
on the themes of housing and social cohesion. It researches new housing solutions, especially for young people, workers, and students.

MeglioMilano

​​MeglioMilano is a non-profit association.

Since 2004, it has been managing the “Prendi in casa” project, an initiative for collaborative and supportive living between young individuals living away from home and elderly people with a spare room in the city.

The project involves an exchange of accommodation, companionship, and small assistance.

Fondazione Housing Sociale

FHS has been a promoter of the social housing sector and an advisor to public and private operators since 2004.

It provides assistance in design, social accompaniment, and placemaking; it is committed to spreading expertise through training programs and publications.

FuoriLuoghi

Fuoriluoghi SCS is a social cooperative that promotes projects with a high social impact, focusing on inclusion, social housing, criminal justice, and initiatives to fight educational poverty.  

Its objective is to facilitate the social integration of minors, adults, and families in need.

La Cordata

La Cordata scs is a social cooperative operating in Milan since 1989. Its mission is to activate support’s networks for people and families living in challenging contexts through social housing and educational and psychological support.

La Cordata wants to create ‘places’ and ‘living spaces’ qualified to welcome people, integrate their needs and harness their potential.

Daniele Giusto

Daniele Giusto is an attorney and president of Confabitare Milano.

This association assists small property owners, aiming to offer property management services and ensure assistance in every area involving property rights. Above all, it aims to be the reference point and main interlocutor towards institutions.

Noemi Mariani is a copywriter, author, and content creator living in Milan. She is known as Mangiapregasbatty and became famous on social media for Case da Incubo [Nightmare Houses], an irreverent format in which she exposes indecent houses put up for rent or sale at unsustainable prices.

Aalvar Aaltissimo

Alvar Aaltissimo is a 21st-century architectural designer who explores the combination of architectural design, satire, current events, communication, and memes. His projects contrast with the volatility of ‘disposable’ social media content: his poetics are based on the study of memetics as a tool for analyzing, understanding, and comprehending social and urban phenomena. With the intent of positioning himself at the intersection of virtual and real, he published ‘Case Milanesissime‘ (2021) and ‘Stanze Bolognesissime‘ (2022), catalogs of hyperreal ads enriched by essays from Cino Zucchi and Sarah Gainsforth. In 2023, he created the ‘Case Milanesissime in 3D’ stand at Milan Design Week, where the results of the ‘Draw Your Casa Milanesissima’ call, which received over 500 submissions, were displayed.

spazioSERRA

spazioSERRA is a public art project led by a curatorial collective, established in Milan in 2017 to enhance the territory through the work of emerging artists, starting from Milano Lancetti station.

spazioSERRA hosted:

→ Affittasi Luminosissimo Bilocale. The project aims to highlight and denounce the neurosis of the real estate sector by setting up a fictitious apartment inside spazioSERRA, where the furniture is made of cardboard or recycled materials, and the walls are reduced to a floor plan drawn on the floor.

The team lauched the call for PoliMi students Caro Affitto, Ti Progetto! which was presented through an exposition and talk in PoliMi Design Campus: Design senza Fili.

They also curated Alvar Aaltissimo and StudMIHome exposition at spazioSERRA ‘Students Living in Case Milanesissime’.
